This is extremely true in highschool. Once University comes you just get 0 and once work comes you get fired :P

  2. Indy Says:

    It's definitely made for programmers.

  3. Jon Says:

Adam: I don't think this graph was made just for high schoolers. I'm pretty sure this is aimed at programmers like Indy said, where this kind of thing happens all the time.

  4. Brian Says:

    Nice!

I should feature this graph on the Crappy Graphs home page.

  5. ryan Says:

what's that hump at the beginning? I don't do that :p

  6. trig1 Says:

Hey, people care about it. I feel loved. Front page as well!

This can be for everything (but I drew it while thinking about programming). I get it all the time.

  7. Karl Says:

I was lucky on my last project, the major part of the work was done on the first bump, the exponential part was only the documentation, god I hate to document stuff.

  8. john Says:

Not just for high school, definitely not just for programmers, and the hump at the beginning looks far too tall :P

  9. Brandon Says:

    Procrastinators unite!

  10. Anonymous Crapper Says:

    maybe later

  11. Anonymous Crapper Says:

I don't get how the amount of work done could go down, surely once you've done some, you've done some?

  12. Brian Says:

    Priceless: (from above)

    "Procrastinators unite!"
    "maybe later"

Anybody else notice that the X-axis is reversed? When 'time before project deadline' is zero, it's due; while the right of the graph should begin procrastination period, going left over time... with deadline on the left. Unless the axis ran reverse, from positive left to negative on the right. Zat's all.

  14. Lemony Emily Says:

    lol, very true

  15. Amber Says:

That applies perfectly to my chemistry coursework...

  16. GRAPHS Says:

    one of the crappiest graph.

  17. U ALL SUCK Says:

Lol, why are you all arguing about what occupation this graph applies too. Let's just all agree that this crappy graph applies to lazy people who lack self motivation or take on stupid projects

"I don't get how the amount of work done could go down, surely once you've done some, you've done some?"

That's because you are partially retarded. 'Work done' is not the best label. But its still obvious that the graph is showing that there is a lot more effort put forward at the start. Kinda like: "Man, I f*cked up last time... I'm going to do better this time". Then of course, two hours later and a facebook email: "Screw this!"

"Anybody else notice that the X-axis is reversed? You too are partially retarded. Time elapsed is not the same as time left.
